Ok, I've put a webpage up with a specification and source code:

I tested the compression on these source blocks:

block 108 goes from 149 words to 99 words
block 110 goes from 172 words to 112 words

Of course when you consider blocks as 256 words, the compression is quite
a bit better, eliminating the empty space.
