Yeah, RetroForth is great, and Charles Childers, the main developer is
on version 8. It's spawnd several offshoots and runs native or in
several operating systems. It's remarkablely lean and clean and
implements many of the most current thoughts about minimalist "bare
metal" programing techniques.
