Re: The low price of tools



There is another set of tools available from Lattice Semiconductor for the
"isp" series of PLDs. I believe that the web site is www.latticesemi.com.

The software is available free for download, and all one needs to program
these PLDs is a cable (one need to buy it!) for the parallel port of the PC.

I am not sure how the Lattice PLDs are different (or better or worse) than
the FPGAs from Xilinx.
