Faq and simple.

Greg how is the Faq going?

I don't have your email address (I deleted all the archives).

The Faq is a good idea, I was going to suggest it to you myself (I was 
thinking of it myself).  You asked many questions I was someday going to ask 
(I have version 1 of the Manual) at an appropraite time.  I thank you for 
doing it for me.

One of the problems with life is that what is simple to some is not so 
simple to others.  Different people have different abilities and think 
differently.  I have taught programming myself and some students simply 
don't get it (even if they are enthusiastic), even when it is something 
obviouse to the rest of us.  Sometimes this sort of thing is because of 
special knowledge or familiarity, when we have figured something out and 
explained it in a way that makes sense to our familiarity with the subject.  
We then automatically understand and stop seeing the problems with it, but 
others still do.  This is like Star Trek, where the 1 in a thousand elite 
run around space (well one in a million elite), quickly and easily 
understanding what would bog most of us down for weeks.  We can only expand 
ourselves so far and the rest of us need simpler tools to bridge the gap.

In a faq the above need needs to be addressed with clear, simple, concise 
(structured), x=y & 1+1=2 language.

So in what ever venture (VOS, FAQ, manuals etc) people undertake it needs to 
be rembered that the way we see something might not be so simple for 
somebody else.

FAQ
The Faq needs to describe the mistakes in the manual (A overlay file might 
be good answer, place over the relavent page to see corrected answer).

The Faq needs a list of present day resources, products, software, web 
pages, and email addresses and people involved in Misc products.  Even when 
they become outdated people can use it to search for the people listed.

The Faq needs to seperate software hardware sections.

+ ussual Faq stuff.
