Nice to have you back Jeff.
Some thoughts on memory: why bother with SDRAM? Wouldn't it be simpler to just 
run SRAM from the whole adress-space? With one MWord (or as pointed out below, 
2*16Mbit), SRAM shouldn't be that much more expensive, when considering it's 
large use in external cashes it should continue to fall in price, and less(?) 
interfacelogic. (the questionmark because I dont know anything about SDRAM 
interfaces, bet many out there know more :)
